The cell phone was soon revolutionized by the iphone and that pretty much made life about 5x's better. I mean, who really wears watches anyway? Not me... at least not until now.

I wanted a watch primarily because I am a fitness instructor and I needed to see my stop watch, plus I wanted to see my heart rate and I also didn't want to have to use my bare hand with my iphone. Now when it's cold I can just flip my wrist and check it out. I don't have to take my hand out of my gloves for any reason at all, not even to challenge a knight to a dual.

I have wanted a watch for a while now, but I don’t really know why. I mean, I have a cell phone and ever since cell phones came out there hasn’t been much need for a watch. The cell phone was soon revolutionized by the iphone and that pretty much made life about 5x’s better. I mean, who really wears watches anyway? Not me… at least not until now.

I wanted a watch primarily because I am a fitness instructor and I needed to see my stop watch, plus I wanted to see my heart rate and I also didn’t want to have to use my bare hand with my iphone. Now when it’s cold I can just flip my wrist and check it out. I don’t have to take my hand out of my gloves for any reason at all, not even to challenge a knight to a dual.

My watch is handy, but it is also cumbersome. It gets snagged on things all the time and the buttons get pushed. This trouble is enough to make me not want it anymore, that and the fact that I can’t stop looking at the watch. Now that I have it I want to know what time it is all the time! It can drive a man crazy, crazy crazy, not just crazy. Who needs to look at their watch that many times?

I have thought about just tattooing a watch on my arm and it would read 5 o’clock. So that I would feel like it’s always the end of the day, or something like that. I know it would never work so I won’t do it, besides that, then I would have to use the iphone for the stop watch again.

Why does one need a watch? Aren’t cell phones the best thing? Watches are used to tell you the time more quickly and maybe that’s all. They are handy, but don’t let there cunning hands mess with your mind. Cell phones are great, but the less you take them out the less chance there is that you will break them, which is always a plus when carrying the iphone.

So I have an update on Terry’s pajamas for all those who read my previous article ‘What To Do About TERRY’S PAJAMAS‘. It appears that Terry is taking a break from his gray pajama pants with skiers, igloos, and snowflakes on them as he has received some new, but not all that different, jammies.

These new pj’s are also gray but only have snowmen on them, no igloos or snowflakes. I can’t really tell if the snowmen are holding skier poles or if those stick looking figures are golf clubs or something else. Anyways, they’re pretty cool. Do you like these better than the old ones? It doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that Terry is still secure in his manhood and doesn’t care what you think.

Until next time!

(Possibly next year, depending on whether Terry’s mother-in-law buys him more pajamas for his birthday.)

I just wanted to let everyone know that WTDA Terry wears gray pajama pants with skiers, igloos, and snowflakes on them. I am actually looking at them right now as I type this article and the skiers actually look like polar bears but they might be dogs or some type of arctic bird. Weird.

I should probably also mention that Terry does not go out and purchase these pajama pants with his own hard earned money, no, if he did that I would have less respect for him. I am told that Terry regularly receives these interesting pajama pants from his mother-in-law and I have respect for him because he is secure in his manhood. We often hang out at Terry’s house and write these interesting articles together and Terry seems completely comfortable with himself. He wears his black house slippers and winter-themed pajama pants with confidence, he doesn’t care what we might be thinking about his apparel. I like that.

Anyways, this article is mostly written for us WTDAers (WTDA Tim and myself), so that later in the future when we start thinking to ourselves: “what is Terry thinking wearing those silly pants with igloos and snowflakes on them?” We can read this article and remember that Terry doesn’t care what we think, he is comfortable and he is his own man. Shouldn’t I be just as comfortable? Yes, yes I should.

Have a good night friends.

If you know anything about me, you know I don’t like to be in or near flip flops. But after a week at the lake I decided that I might be swayed to the dark side. The side that I used to make fun of, the side that told me flip flops are great. I spent an entire week without shoes or a shirt for that matter and was quite comfortable. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Even though I didn’t do any running, using public bathrooms, walking in wet grass, chasing a purse thief, driving a car, trying to date, shopping, playing any sports, and well doing anything productive.

I still think that flip flops are not very practical, I mean, what if you need to defend yourself and all you have is your shoe? You can’t beat a guy within an inch of his life with a flip flop. You can’t even give a kid a good spanking!

All this being true, once I broke those dang things in they were quite comfortable. It was really nice not having shoes on all week. My shoes are always on as I run around sharing the pain of fitness training with the rest of the world. So to take off my kicks was nice, my feet actually got a tan.

Of course, once I got home I burned my flip flops, because I don’t want people seeing me in them. I can say that it was an enlightening experience and that it was nice but like a vacation, it’s not practical all the time. Besides, no one wants to see your toe hair anyways!

It seems that scarves are the new “rage” of the fashion scene, as sported by actors and rock stars a like. I have seen scarves everywhere, on stage, on the runway, in the checkout line at the grocery, in the bathroom at a hockey game, and the worst place (time) of all: summer.

See, when the fashion stops making sense then it crosses over to nonsense. There are some things in the fashion world that are timeless and will always be classy… I don’t think however, that scarves are in that category. It’s just my humble opinion, but when you cross cold weather wear with fashion you are going the wrong direction with fashion freedom. I mean when will it stop, sleeveless shirts in the winter, ski coats in the dead of summer, I see no end to the insanity.

The real gold in fashion is the ability to make classy yet original choices, when this happens you are not the follower but the followee. You will be on the cutting edge of fashion, as you introduce things thought of by you, grabbing onto something from a celebrity that has only seen it from another celebrity. Where does it end?

So if you are out there wearing a scarf with a trucker hat with crocs and holey jeans then you missed the fashion short bus and now you will have to walk. Get out there and express yourself with timeless fashion that always give back to the community, or some crap like that.

This is really a legitimate topic because I have seen it more than once for no good reason. I mean, it’s not halloween, there is no new pirate movie coming out, really… why? No really, why?

I think pirates are cool, not the old pirates so much, but the new pirates. You know the ones in the movies that really aren’t hurting anybody. The pirates of old were quite mean and horrible people much like a mixture of the criminals of today. A rapist, thief, and a car jacker all wrapped up into one fun loving villian. Crazy I know, what is crazier yet, is that these people who dress like pirates look absolutely stupid. The couple I saw were so confident that they looked good they even walked like pirates and the dude even smelled like a pirate. The woman was clearly the one in charge because any good woman knows that she can control a man right down to his clothes if she wanted to. So clearly this was alright with her that her boyfriend looked like a jack ass. Then to hear everybody make fun of him and then still think it was cool, it just blows my mind.

I guess they get points for confidence, I remember her coming into an event that I was taking tickets at the door of. She came up to me and pulled her tickets out of her bra as though I would think that was hot, when in fact I was trying my best to not throw up. That’s when I wish I had gloves on! Speaking of gloves I didn’t think pirates wore gloves, even gloves with skulls on them and of course missing the fingers.

What to do about it? First thing is try not to laugh. Then tell them you have no gold and you were already raped once so no luck there. Hopefully they won’t try and make you join them or die because I have nothing for that. You will just have to commit to puffy shirts for the rest of your life.

Good luck!

I know everyone thinks these glasses are cool, and that is what makes me the saddest. I know nobody else wants to say it, but this is the goofiest trend that I have seen since coolots… you know the big puffy shorts that made you look like you are trying to sneak a poodle on an airplane.

I don’t understand the trend either, they don’t look comfortable. I know it’s not because they are lightweight and it’s certainly not because you want to be different. So please tell me, why do so many of you wear these ginormous sunglasses? I only need one reason. I will take any one good reason and I will write a new article on it. So please enlighten me, because I don’t get it (nor do I really want to). Until then you might want to get a license to carry those things, or maybe buy some windshield wipers for them. Well, maybe not… because that might actually make them a little bit more useful when riding a motorcycle at 60 MPH.

I wonder what the next trend will be? Full face masks? I think that would make a good article: what to do about not having a fashionable face. I guess there is an upside to those monster glasses… you can’t lose them, they are big enough to use as one of those sun visors that you can put in the windshield. One other way to look at it is you can use less make-up. I mean half your face is covered by your sunglasses. You could also use them for pulling a young child out of a pool or freezing pond.

Talk about reverse progress with the “I am looking hot in these killer sunglasses idea”. Suddenly Miami Vice is cool again, with the hot pink and neon sports coats. I would also like to point out the fact that they are increasing in numbers and even my wife’s grandmother had a pair on at a funeral I was attending, IN OHIO! Now you know that it has to stop… really. Once you take them off you can give me fashion advice such as, but not limited to: put on a shirt, you don’t need socks with your sandals, or my personal favorite, I can see your underwear through your jeans (go read wtda my favorite jeans).

Never in the clean laundry pile.

Are never mismatched.

Always have pockets full from the last fun night.

Never have anything in the pockets.

My favorite jeans rock, but they need to be replaced and I can’t find a good pair to pass the torch too… because, let’s face it, my favorite jeans are in need of a fellow race runner in the marathon that is life. I know that was deep, because I would never run in my jeans as the crotch would split, well, more than it already has. My jeans have stories to tell, mainly because they were found in a thrift store and somebody else’s “boys” have been in them before… but I try not to think about that.

Soon they will be replaced and I will have a new pair of jeans to truly exhaust for the next 5 years. Anyone who ever said that money on a good pair of jeans is wasted better recognize that I just said 5 years! And to think, I have an older pair of once favorite jeans that are riddled with holes, those are 7 years old. If my new jeans are reading this, we will be together soon so keep your zipper up… or something,

I will start by saying I like shoes. They are comfy and If you know anything about my previous rants on public bathrooms you will see another reason why.

The other reasons are few… but I feel they give a good idea as to why I would rather wear me a pair of kicks. One being, I would like to think that I am a man of action and in the case of a fight or a robbery of my belongings or someone elses’… I might need to run at a moments notice. Aside from that, I don’t like having my feet stepped on or for them to be crushed by anything.

I also don’t like wet flip flops i.e. wet feet. This bothers me because of the aforementioned running and the slimy feeling that ensues afterward.

So I really don’t like the flip flop or sandals for that matter. I guess because I am a tough guy and think me feet (yes, that reads ‘me feet’) need to be covered just in case I have to throw down.

What do you think? Comment on this and we can discuss your likes and dislikes and the flip flop.

I don’t know about you but I like to be free… and that includes my feet. Flip flops offer some nice freedom for the feet but beware… oh beware, there are hidden dangers.

Danger #1: The toe divider. Some flip flops have a toe divider that will leave your little piggies chafed and bleeding.

Danger #2: Flat padding. The flatness of flip flops is no good for your natural arch. You need support. Moral support, breast support, and foot arch support.

Danger #3: Foot straps. Some foot traps are comfortable for all of 3 minutes and then you are ready to take them off. Also, beware of straps where the other end is secured through the bottom of the flip flop. Securing straps this way is poor design as it can get caught whilst walking and you can fall to your death. Also having the strap secured through the bottom wears it down and then it breaks prematurely.

A good pair of flipper floppers has a nice cloth strap secured in the middle of the sole that is wide enough to cuddle your foot. It also has some arch support whether built into the padding or above. The toe divider should be natural, you know… “one of the guys”… another pea in the pod if you will.

So go git yerself some of dem flipper floppers.
