What To Do About PLAYING CORN HOLE WITH MY WIFE

December 3, 2008 By Terry Barga 5 Comments

Howdy, ever heard of corn hole? You should have, I have written on it before and you should read it here before you finish this article… trust me it will make more sense. Besides, when have I ever steered you wrong?¬†

Done? ….you sure are a quick reader.

So I like to play me some corn hole, especially at night with a camp fire lit and a beer in my hand. We usually play pairs and the last time we played i was paired with my wife. This may seem like a good idea, but she is terrible at the game.

I tend to be a bit more competitive when playing corn hole than any other sport, and no I don’t know why. Maybe because I am actually good at it! That is until my wife starts playing with me, she has a nack for making cookies but when it comes to corn hole she is hit or miss, mostly miss. She always seems distracted and never fully commits, kind of like another girl I know who was texting and playing corn hole all night, and I believe she was texting a “Randall”. I digress.

Let me sum this up for you: if you want to win at playing corn hole you will need a dedicated partner and some other hints.

1) Always play the same spot.

2) Pinch your bean bags in the center before you throw them.

3) Lead off with your right foot like bowling.

4) The more arch you get the better the landing.

5) And last but not least people… defense wins games!

My friend Nathan is a great partner at corn hole. He is very accurate, but more than that he knows the game. Not like the girls who come in and only play because the fellahs want them to. Now I know some of you out there will comment and say “I love corn hole and I am awesome at it” to them I say prove it! I want to see pictures of you playing this game by yourself or with some other girls before I will believe that again. That’s like saying that dudes like to get together and make bread.

Corn hole is a game of sincere dedication and can not be matched when played to its fullest.

What To Do About About CALLING CERTAIN TYPES OF SPATULAS, SPATULAS

February 4, 2011 By Tim Mallon 2 Comments

It just isn’t right! It is so confusing! Trying to differentiate between different spatulas can be quite the challenge. “Hand me a spatula, no, not that one, the scrapey one.” “Scrapey one?” “Yeah, the one that you use to scrape the sides of the bowl.” “Oh you mean the silicone one.” “What is silicone?” Why?…
